The prestidigitator's patter begins with ‘nothing in the hands, nothing in the pockets, nothing in the pistol’ before offering the audience ‘explosion, detonation, conjuration, conspiracy, arrest, emotion, reception, acclamation, deputation, and… amazement!!!’
