Description
The British Nationality Act 1948 confirmed the right of all subjects of the British Empire including West Indians to migrate to the UK. British West Indians who settled in Britain were called to register to clarify their status in 1962, 1971 and 1981 as immigration and nationality laws changed. But these calls were not clear or widespread.
