Don’t Blame the Blacks

Title
Don’t Blame the Blacks
Description
George Powe, the first Windrush generation Black Councillor in Britain, wrote 'Don’t Blame the Blacks' in response to the 1958 race riots in Nottingham and Notting Hill in London. He explained how migration was linked to the poor working opportunities and conditions in the Caribbean and argued against the assertion that immigration was at the root of Britain's social and economic problems.
